How to play

Find The Orb is a free daily hidden-object puzzle. Every day one flag orb is hiding in a pit of hundreds of look-alike orbs. Your job is to find it, as fast as you can.

The three steps

Find the orb. The flag at the top of the puzzle shows what you are looking for. Only one orb carries that flag. Every other orb is a decoy, and some decoys have flags that look very similar.
Zoom and look around. Pinch with two fingers, scroll with the mouse wheel, double-tap, or use the plus and minus buttons. Drag to move the picture. Zooming in is part of the game.
Tap the orb. The timer starts when you press Start. When you tap the right orb the timer stops and your time is saved.

Strikes and penalties

A wrong tap is a strike. Every strike adds 3 seconds to your time. Five strikes and the hunt is over, so only tap when you are sure.

One attempt per puzzle

You get one attempt at each puzzle. A new puzzle unlocks every day at midnight UK time. Past puzzles stay in the archive, but only attempts made on the day a puzzle is released count towards the leaderboard.

Difficulty levels

Puzzles range from Easy to Impossible. The harder the puzzle, the more orbs there are and the smaller they look. Easy puzzles have a few hundred orbs on show. Hard puzzles have around a thousand, and the flags are tiny until you zoom in.

Tips for finding the orb faster

Scan one colour at a time. Look for the main colours of the flag you need.
Check the edges and corners of the pit, then work inwards.
Orbs are turned at different angles, so the flag may be sideways.
Zoom in on any orb you are unsure about before you tap it.

Streaks, your name and other devices

Play on consecutive days to build a streak. Tap the profile button to pick a leaderboard name. To use the same streak and scores on another phone or computer, open your profile, copy your sync code and enter it on the other device.
